Yummy!

Today we will be talking snacks. BIG snacks. There is a website from England called Pimp My Snack. They have recipes for making extremely large versions of popular snack foods. If you've ever wanted a Reese's Cup larger than your head or a Rolo you could roll across the floor this is the site for you! My favorite is a huge Kit Kat bar they make using a piece of rain gutter! The recipes are actually tried and submitted by readers along with pictures. Part of the fun is reading about their mistakes while trying to perfect their pimped snack. The photo gallery shows finished products and is fun to look through. Click on today's title to visit them.

Snacks might be a good idea if you live in Gorham. It will be so cold this weekend that I suggest grabbing a bunch of snacks (or the ingredients to make your own pimped snack) and hunker inside for the weekend. Of course I'll be going to an indoor water park in Mass. but we can't all be so lucky. My girls will be accepting awards in Martial Arts for the New England area this weekend and the hotel has added a CocoKey water resort. No way were we getting out of that so they get to follow a trip to Disney with a water park weekend. Considering our weather here in Maine you'd think we'd have an indoor water park somewhere. Hear me Marriott Portland??

Here I Am

I bet you thought I gave up on blogging already. Actually I just had a busy weekend and didn't feel well for the last few days. My oldest gave me a cold! I did find the time to update my iphone ringtones though. I made my own in garageband and exported them to itunes. (You can too if you have a mac!) I then assigned all my friends and kid's friends with their own personal ringtones. I'll never remember who is who, but I will laugh like crazy when they call because they are FUNNY ringtones. Most are songs from Parry Gripp. He is hilarious and did the songs for all those funny youtube clips like "Hamster on a Piano Eating Popcorn" and "Chimpanzee Riding on A Segway". I'm giggling just writing this. You can buy his songs on itunes and I encourage you to do so because it is his livelihood and they are so good he deserves to be paid. Plus I want him to keep doing more. My default (and favorite) ringtone is called "This is my Ringtone". Click on today's title to check it out on YouTube! While you are there check out "Dramatic Look Hamster" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8Kyi0WNg40) I dare you not to laugh!!!

Day two!

Gorham
My Gorham connection today is a question. Outside the Gorham police station they have a sign that currently reads "Car crashes - 2" . I know from the past that they keep track of the crashes throughout the year. My question is: If two cars crash into each other does that count as one crash or two? If anyone has the answer please let me know.

LOST
I just helped my youngest daughter set up her own blog. Anyone interested in the TV show LOST should check her out at www.lostgal101.blogspot.com .

My Resolutions
I am doing well on my blog by posting on day two. Yea me! As for losing weight, we won't know for a few days but the fact that I haven't curtailed my eating is probably a good clue to the answer. And as for getting rid of junk the only thing missing from my house tonight is my oldest daughter. We'll call that a win! :)

Today's Picture
An awesome picture of Cinderella's Castle from our family trip last month.

My First Gorham Blog

This is my first posting and I really have no idea what I'm going to be doing. This was a New Year's Resolution and I am trying to keep at least one. This seemed easier than losing weight or cleaning out all my junk.

Since this is supposedly about Gorham I will always have some little something about Gorham.

So, here is my favorite Gorham place of the week:

The PineCrest Club at The PineCrest Bed & Breakfast
Please check out their website at  http://www.pinecrestclub.com
They are changing the way the club works and making it more accessible to all. Their food is absolutely wonderful and another of my resolutions it to get there more often this year. A resolution they are making easier by adding more dining nights and a special pub menu. Get on their mailing list and try them out, you won't be sorry!

And just so I can try adding a picture-here is one of our backyard after the December ice storm.
